We all know that it gets hot here in San Antonio in the Summer. What if your window tint didn’t just look great, but also helped dramatically reduce the heat in your car? Well, it can and we wrote this article to demonstrate how 3M Crystalline Window Tint blocks the heat.
This 2020 Toyota Camry came in looking for a window tint that provided maximum heat rejection. After consultation, we decided upon 3M Crystalline window tint. As you can see from the chart below, 3M Crystalline blocks between 34% and 62% of the total solar energy from entering your vehicle. It also blocks 99% of the UV and a decent amount of glare as well.
That is great for the company to put out, but let’s see how the film really performs as we check it with a meter. The following pictures show the heat coming through the glass before the 3M Crystalline was applied.

Now, lets look at the same reading after 3M Crystalline 40 was applied on the sides and Crystalline 70 was applied to the windshield.
You can see that the side windows went from a solar power meter reading of 135 down to 9, and the windshield went from a reading of 211 down to 9! That’s some awesome heat reduction.
