A customer came in a week ago and inquired about paint protection film and how it would benefit him. After discussing with him what his needs were we decided on a kit for the front bumper. So as the car came in it was a little dirty so we started with Optimums No Rinse wash.
After a water less wash we proceeded to the install. Prepping with an alcohol water mix to remove any waxes or sealants that are on the paint. This Paint Protection Film is invisible and provides protection from damage caused by rocks, salt,insects, and other road debris. The top-coated constructions is scratch and crack resistant with a high-gloss finish, superior optical clarity which increases longevity & comes with a 5 year warranty. Below this is what the film looks like before we start the squeegee process.
This is the progress during the install. As you can see its clear in some areas and where the film is still up those areas still need to be formed into place.
4 hours later and the install is complete. The film is set and the adhesive is clearing up, everything is tacked down and the customer is ready to enjoy driving his C6 anywhere he wants with out fear of road rash or rock chips. At a later date he plans on setting up another appointment to complete his paint protection kit including the fenders, headlights & hood.
